Who does the best job of preparing pre-service teachers to work in 1:1 classrooms? We are looking for universities that are preparing their teacher education students to flourish in the 1:1 classrooms.  This needs to be more than just requiring all of their students to have laptops. Ideally, it needs to include a program that reconceptualizes learning to best use a technology-rich learning environment. Please post your recommendations here or send me a note at zeitz@uni.edu Thank you, Leigh…See More

First, you cannot declare "games" as a singular educational pedagogy. Moreover most people mistakenly equate simulations as games (Ian Bogost most notably), in truth if its a game, the sim-ness dissipates (more on this in a…

I use game principles as a model for how I run my class. Things like presentation, exploration, progression, etc. This year I'm adding the ability to "level up" to more complex assignments. You can see my website at mrroughton.com…

Hi Leigh:
No you aren't required to add your pic to the frapprmap (it's actually hosted elsewhere). I see in your activity that you joined the XO group, and that's all you need to do. Please feel free to start discussions and otherwise interact in this space, also consider waandering over the to the OLPC Clrm 2.0 XO user group on the OLPC wiki.
