About Me
After 10 years in the classroom (teaching 7th grade mathematics) I was presented with the opportunity to start working with teachers. I am now an Education Consultant for Southwest Plains Regional Service Center and work with teachers across the western third of Kansas.

Now back at my former job, but in a new capacity. I am teaching half time and working with teachers within the district the other half (specifically on math). The best of both worlds!!! How lucky am I?

Hi Jerry. I was wondering if your students would be interested in participating in a nationwide SAT Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. If not, perhaps you have some educator contacts you could direct me to. You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!

GREAT! I have 3,4,5,6 in my team this year. We are 2nd year also and with new teachers across the building (13 altogether) I know that there will be many more possibilities of collaboration! We are excited!!! I also have another 5th grade teacher that would interested in doing anything that I can come up with for her to do. I will talk to them at the beginning of the year and see what they are up for!!

Jerry,

HI there! Great site! I think I added you as a friend but not sure. I would love to chat about your exciting year outside of the math classroom. I'll probably see you at the Center sometime.

10 years teaching 7th grade math... you are a master & no doubt a saint. It has been about that long since I taught any math! Yes, I'm getting nervous. lol! I'll certainly keep in touch. Great meeting you.

Jerry, thanks for sharing! I'd love to share ideas with others in the social studies area. Bring 'em on! :-) At this time, it appears that I may be teaching 6th grade math next year (darn budget cuts) I'd be interested to hear any great ideas you may have to share as well.
