Literary Magazines anyone?

I'm wondering if there are any colleagues in this community who have launched online literary magazines. What are the merits, challenges, issues you confront in creating these publications. With my school-dependent students I'm striving to help them see learning can be engaging, fun, and rewarding, especially when you use web2.0 tools. To this end I hope to gather resources and ideas to help me help them extend beyond their own borders & walls.
