Curriculum Officer @ Sheffield West City Learning Centre
About Me:
I work for a city learning centre, delivering innovative (I hope!) projects to partnership schools using technology. Outside of that I'm a parent, enthusiastic blogger, sometimes runner and sometimes writer of fiction(!)
Hi Sarah, We have software called Sony Acid in our school which we use for podcasting but we also use audacity and like that. We store them at www.podomatic.com We added images to a lot of our podcasts for extra interest. For blogging we use globalstudent which is a campus of edublogs that our education dept in Victoria sponsors.
Hello Sarah, it is good to meet you as well and welcome to this great classroom where I am sure you will find out lots more about the wonderful world of web2.0 I also love blogging and having started my students on it, feel it is one of the most powerful educational tools that I have witnessed in my many years of teaching. I also love getting involved in collaborative projects and my students keep asking for more as they have found that live blogging and webcasting have been so fascinating in that they can learn more about global students from the students themselves.
Check out our series of free live workshops around the United States on the use of Web 2.0 technologies in education. Coming up: Sacramento, New York, and Boston. More details and information here.
