About Me: I currently teach Math and Language Arts in an Alternative Education setting. I've been at Waldo in this position for 4 years. Prior to that, I worked at Albany Options School (an Alternative Junior High and High School for 'at risk' students in Albany, Oregon teaching Social Studies. I also worked as a realtor in the Albany/Corvallis, Oregon market areas for 12 years. I am married to Kent, a general contractor, and have 2 sons, Anthony and Alex.

Halloween in the United States

Last night was Halloween. It's a time when children (and sometimes adults) dress up as fairies, princesses, super heros, animals, and creatures of the underworld and go door-to-door asking neighbors for candy. They call this, 'trick or treating'. My family doesn't play a major role in this particular holiday, as we are Christians and don't advocate the tennants of it.
