Today, I have had the opportunity to play with the Vcom3D program, Sign Smith (30-day dowload). Basically, you select an avatar from the list, then insert or type your text into the "text" box. You can cut and paste your text into the signing component and your avatar comes to life. Initially, there was no facial expression… Continue

I followed you on twitter and now plan to spend more time reading and sharing again. I had a busy spring and took a break from many online networks for a while since I spent the time taking some courses after work.

I look forward to networking! Being in our specialized field - definitely need to network and share knowledge, resources, ideas, tips, etc. with each other!

I will certainly encourage my VA colleagues to join but I'm usually one of the first ones to try anything new, especially related to technology! Good to be on board. Hope to pick up lots of ideas here and share as well!

Google Wave for Dummies

Ok, so I am a bit behind. Can we start with "Google Wave for Dummies"? I'm looking for, "first, then second, then..." something along that line. Keep it simple please. I am a bit in my "discomfort zone".

About Me
My name is Michelle Sumner and I am a teacher. Being Deaf, I use technology in every aspect of my life and I make an attempt to demonstrate its use with my students to enhance instructional opportunities as well as build confidence and expose them to real life situations they will encounter upon leaving High School. Sharing our ideas with others helps us develop confidence. Listening teaches us to respect others. This is how I leave my mark on the world.
