Mapping NETS for Students to Curriculum

Our school is  working on integrating the 2007 NETS for Students into our elementary school curriculum.  We are a Learning-Focused school.  We are working on mapping the Essential Questions to the NETS for Students.  I have attached an example of our third grade Reading curriculum matrix.  We are looking for feedback.  Does this matrix make sense?  How could it be used in your school/district?  Do you use or have you seen anything similar to this type of curriculum mapping?
