Does anyone know of professional blogs in the field of Social Studies Middle School for teachers to read? I am also looking for Middle School Social Studies Student Blogs to show as examples. Thank you.

Duck Diaries is one of my favorites http://duckdiaries.edublogs.org/ They followed it up with Trout Diaries I think this is a great way to show teachers that a blog does not have to be a year-long labor intensive commitment.

Marie, You blog looks great and so appropriate for 3rd. It's nice for kids to see authentic writing...you need to make sure the 4th grade teacher starts a blog so the kids can continue. N.

How did your workshop go on technology? I appologize for not getting back to you. I had computer issues for a couple of months and decided to upgrade. If you still need information, please let me know.

Judi, below I listed a video I just made you on JING and shared via screencast.com. It is from one of my previous wiki spaces I created for my English 12 Honors class 2 years ago. I can make more videos of my different wikis if you would like. Hope this helps!

Also, I added your blog to my blog roll. Very good stuff. I hope that you could share my blog as well; http://iteach20.blogspot.com/

Hi Judi,

With your work in Education Technology, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.
