Real Life Algebra Connections

What kinds of online resources has anyone found that presents algebra in real world applications? I would be interested in interactive websites, demonstrations of algebra in the workplace, anything to get students to connect to why algebra is important to learn for life after high school.

I'm interested in hearing from anyone who is currently using, or thinking about using cellphones as part of integrated classroom technology. Anyone?

Hi Gary,

With your work in Learning Technology for Indiana's Dept of Ed., I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service. Here’s a public class recording conducted by Nellie Deutsch on Technology Integration.
