About Me
I have been teaching for 20 years and have raised 3 children We live on a 30-acre farm in rural NC. I love teaching science and consider myself creative and innovative. I am currently teaching 7th grade physical science.

Our school is investigating more instructional media, using laptops in the classroom; trying to meet the students where they currently live- in the world of technology! I need lots of direction and would like to network with other teachers about what works for them.

Hi Cindy! Welcome to PBL~Better with Practice group! Based on your posts here, I can see you're on the hunt for PBL resources and ideas. So, you've come to the right place!
I pushed your question for the group up into the discussion area. It's likely to get more visibility there. Feel free to start any new discussion threads.

Hi Cindy, The Instructional Media program is a 30-credit master's program. Specific information can be found at http://www.wilkes.edu/pages/2559.asp. There is also a link to the program requirements from this page. The IM program is in partnership with Discovery Education and is one of our most popular online programs. I think you would find that the program will help you a lot in finding some ideas to incorporate technology in the classroom. Some of the topics in the courses include: blogs, wikis, audio and video, digital storytelling, project-based learning, etc. I hope this helps. Please feel free to email me at mailto:barbara.moran@wilkes.edu me with any additional questions. ~Barb
