I am conducting a survey of school district policies. My hope with this survey is that if I get a comprehensive look at school and district technology policies and compare them to other demographic data that we might be able to spot trends and corre…
I concur with Carl Anderson "I also don't think 21st Century pedagogy is about web2 either. A teacher can implement 21st Century pedagogy without a shred of technology"

I've been following this thread, and the conversation has been very interesting. I believe this idea of learner choice is probably one of the parts of 21st Century Learning that will stick. Technologies come and go, and can be excellent tools, but t…
I like the idea of posting videos on youtube of us teaching. That way, the students who miss class can view what we did. And as you said, if they miss something we said, they can rewind. Sounds like a great idea. I wish I had the means to do it!
I think that 21st Century Education is more or less quality instruction. You bring up many quality points. Here is a webpage I found through YouTube that shows some of the differences. . .

Hi Carl. I was wondering if you and your students would be interested in participating in a nationwide SAT Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. If not, perhaps you have some educator contacts you could direct me to. You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!
i was in San Antonio in July for NECC08 and the pre-occupation with the technology was a little disconcerting..having always used technology, for me it is how to improve the learning and hopefully teaching without the schooling getting in the way(too much)
not so different in US compared with Australia. i am based in Melbourne Victoria.
With your work in Education Technology integration, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.
My area of special interest, and the reason I have made the shift from classroom art teacher to tech, is virtual worlds. I am currently putting the finishing touches on my masters capstone on research supported pedagogy within VLEs. I have been using the Active Worlds platform to create Virtual World WebQuests. Hopefully I will be able to use them with my online students. Otherwise, I have a handful of teachers in my brick and mortar school who are brave enough to try them out.
Hi Carl! Thanks for the friendship invitation. Out of curiosity, what do you teach in your art and tech classes? (My bachelor's degree is in Arts and Technology.)
