I've had afterschool programs to teach a technology tool with little participation. I would only keep them an hour. A lot of teachers just don't WANT to learn. It's a shame.

With your work in Technology for your elementary school, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.
