About Me
This is my 29th year of teaching. I have been a primary teacher up until this year, but because of the dwindling number of Secondary teachers, I have decided to try my hand at Years 7 and 8. I am teaching English, Maths and Bible Study. So far it is great. I love to tell stories, and I love to play with computer software, especially Apple software. My latest interest is 'iweb', a fantastic way to show case your students' work, such as podcasts, artwork, vodcasts, poems and stories. I am working on teacher podcasts to encourage the students to learn their tables. My first one is posted. See if your students can 'beat the clock'. I have also be trawling the net (forgive the inadvertent, inverted pun) to find the best interactive websites to link to, so the students can practice at home.

Thanks, Anthony, for the update @ your country's education system. I found it fascinating! I enjoy international travel and meeting people from other countries. Just last night I had dinner with a master's student from Brazil and we discussed my working in Brussels this summer and my plans for traveling to London via train. What a small world through 2.0!

Welcome to 2.0--what ages are years 7 and 8? In the state we go by grades--7th grade would be about 12 years of age.
