We are a Mac 1:1 laptop school - students buy their own laptops for the program (it's a private school). It seems that the basic MacBook model was discontinued this summer- that was the model we were recommending to students. I'd love to allow MacBook Air as they are now the cheapest option, but this is a major stumbling block for our IT Department to deploy them on the scale we need; has anyone successfully imaged a set of airs without the usually needed ethernet port? With your work in Technology Integration, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service. Here’s a public class recording conducted by Nellie Deutsch on Technology Integration.
