Does anyone have an alternative application for screen captures other than SnagIT? SnagIT is great but I was hoping to find something comparable that is free and opensource. I have tried Screenpresso which is not too bad but when I try and resize the images they do not retain quality very well.
I have also used paint.net as a graphics editor which is very nice and I recommend it for that but it does not do any screen capture or region capture.
While on the topic, does there even exist an alternative for Camtasia that is worth talking about?
Thanks fro the feedback!!
Stephen

PicPick - http://www.picpick.org/ Screen capture, very simple image editor (works great for highlighting things on your screen captures), plus quite a few other tools. Very recommended.
