Greetings from West Texas.

I wanted to let you be aware of a (hopefully) cool experience that I hope some of you can help with.
In late September the El Paso Independent school District along with the Anthony Independent school District received the T3 grant. This grant was written in such a way to expand technology in the classrooms of the two districts but more importantly it was designed to teach collaborative learning between the students in our district and students outside her district. This is where you come in, the teachers that are taking part in this grant for the most part are new to collaborative learning, integrated teaching, and in general using technology to tell stories.

Another part of this grant is a creation of the West Texas Digital storytelling collaborative, and this collaborative is designed in such a way that your students could work with our students.
They could work on storytelling science fair projects, research projects, chatting with each other, in general doing all those 21st-century learning skills that we have been talking about in classroom 2.0 for the past two years.

so, here's the deal: I'm inviting all the members of classroom 2.0 to become part of the West Texas Digital storytelling collaborative ning site. The site is located at this URL: HTTP://wtdstc.ning.com

I look forward to having you work with our teachers way out here in West Texas and our students way out here in West Texas and opening up the world for them with your help.

Thanks, Tim
