Hi! I'm a 5th grade teacher from Phoenix, AZ and am looking for other classrooms that want to hook up and use Smartboard's instant conference feature.

Basically what happens, if you don’t already know, is that I click some buttons on my end….send you an email with a link…you click the link…click run a few times and we then are able to work on a smartboard file together, at the same time,  can talk to each other too. Not only does it share a smartboard file, but entire desktops too.

It really has no limit on things that can be done with it. We could do a video chat as well, along with all things smartboard, and audio….but of course I dont have webcams yet. Soon though.

The teacher across the pod and I were going to try out talking about math strategies between the classes. I simply wanted to try this out in house first, and then district, and then who knows what. The cool thing in addition to all this is that you can have multiple classrooms from all over join at once.

Sorry if you already knew this stuff….but I wanted to see if you were interested brainstorming some cool things to do with this.

Let me know.

If you want to contact me directly, please do so at rnorman@kyrene.org

Thanks!

Bobby
