Though my report date is not for two more weeks, I am already in the back-to-school mindset. Here are some of the things I need to do this week.
1. Make a trip to my school and start setting up. I've been moved to a different room, and figuring out how to arrange it is important to me.
2. Get back in touch with three colleagues who've already contacted me regarding planning for next year. We have lots to do.
3. Figure out how to make wikis relevant for my colleagues. I think that there is great time-saving potential with wikis.
4. Read Writing is Dialogue by Jeff House. I picked this one up at a Pre-AP training last week.

Yeah, yeah . . . teacher vacation is more or less an illusion. It's never quite as lengthy and work-free as we'd hope it to be.

According to my countdown clock I have 37 more days until the 1st day of school. Although, I've been working on ed tech almost everyday since school let out in June. :)

Christine -- Wouldn't it be nice if more of the general public understood about the post-contract time we actually put in? I wonder how it would affect public perception.
