Glenda,
I'm doing some ePals 101 webinars over the next few weeks. Would you have an hour to explore the offerings from the global community (ways to find collaborative partners in the US or elsewhere) and the basics of how to use ePals SchoolMail? Both of these are free products. You can find the partners in ePals and use multiple ways of communicating, from email and Skype to videoconferencing or writing postcards.

I have posted info about the next two webinars on the "events" linked to my page. Here are the dates and times of all the currently scheduled ones. Please let me know whether any of these would be of interest!
4 p.m. eastern, Sat., Nov. 7
10 a.m. eastern, Friday, Nov. 13
4 p.m. eastern, Monday, Nov. 23
4:15 p.m. eastern, Wed., Dec. 2
3:15 p.m. eastern, Wed. Dec. 9
Each webinar has a unique URL, password and toll-free number to call in from the US or Canada.
Good luck in your efforts to meet NETS standards of collaboration and global awareness!

Hello Glenda. I am a general music teacher in Memphis, TN, and new to Classroom 2.0. I found your page while browsing the members area and wanted to invite you to participate in an online classroom/cultural exchange - your students and my students communicating with each other, sharing their work and developing a global relationship (for lack of a better term). I read your post from September 29 in which you mention a similar interest. Please let me know if you would like to try this. It has proven to be a successful way for students to develop their communication skills and strengthen their appreciation for other cultures - nationally and internationally. I have a Voicethread posted on my page if you want to have a look - this would be an easy way for our students to communicate. You can also check out my students' projects on our music web page at http://web.me.com/knrgreene/RMSMusicMediaNetwork/Welcome.html. Hope to hear from you!

Hi Glenda. I was wondering if you and your students would be interested in participating in a nationwide SAT Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. If not, perhaps you have some educator contacts you could direct me to.

You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!
