I have made the comment so many times to my fellow co-workers that I would love to have other teachers teaching the same thing I am to share ideas with. I have always taught at St. Mary, and we have only one class per grade. The other teachers are a great support system, but I still think it would be helpful to have other first grade teachers available.
I'm sure things will be great at St. Francis, but I would be a little or actually a LOT nervous going to such a big school. Our school has about 175 students Prek-8.
Good luck!

I saw your name from the roster on Blackboard. For the last couple of years I've been on the technology committee for All Saints. We had a computer lab with 30 computers. We also have two computers in each classroom. Last year we updated the lab with new computers and each teacher also got a new classroom computer. We've had a lot of problems with the network failing and thought the new computers would help. When we got a bigger server it didn't seem to help. All Saints had two laptops for us to check out and three projectors that we could hook them too. Our long range goal was to get more projectors. We used most of our Title 6 Funds? to purchase the equipment. I finally talked my boss into letting us purchase an Elmo for each wing of the school also. It didn't come in until the last semester. He saw how much myself and the second grade teacher was using it and is trying to acquire funds to get a few more. I have recently changed jobs and moved to St. Francis of Assisi. They have two computer labs. (They also have 800+ stidemts ising the computers also.)With so many of the schools moving to MAP testing and doing State testing on line, the availability of the labs are becoming a problem. How about your school what do you have available to you?

Hi Connie!! It's nice to meet you. How did you find members of the class on this website? I have been emailing Jen for several days and can't seem to get a response.
What kind of technology do you have in your school? Do you have computers in your classroom or a lab or both? Do you have enough computers for every student?
