Welcome, Gary. Our high school (Wawasee) is one of the schools that has benefited from the 1 to 1 grants. I wish we could get the computers in the foreign language rooms also. ;-)

Hi, Julie,
I've been to Wawasee, and good things are being done there. Computers in foreign language make a lot of sense. I saw what the French teacher was doing with Alice and was quite impressed.

Our French teacher is probably the teacher whose students use the most technology. I'm stealing ideas from her constantly. We're envious of the 1:1 labs the LA classes have. Oh what we could do if we had those! I'll add that to my wish list.

My name is Bruce and I am the Technology Director at a boarding school, Cushing Academy, in Ashburnham, MA. I am looking for ways and sites for our faculty to connect with others in 9-12 classrooms. I have been reading and participating in my own personal learning networks for a number of years. I teach in the UK I am a primary school teacher but I only teach ICT and Spanish. I am also responsible for International Education and thought that a ning might be a brilliant way of working together on things and a natural extension to blogging

Hi All! I am a graduate student from C.W. Post. I am beginning to create my first global collaboration project. We have a third grade class from New York and would like to include other students from around the world. As our first activity we are looking for teachers and their classes to participate by submitting photos depicting their cultures. For each photograph or scanned drawing we would like to have a caption describing the photo. How can I get some other teachers and students involved in the project? Any suggestions. BAD news, your kiddos have to be 13 to participate in a ning. Why don't you do some research at epals.com. That's what they do, collaborative projects. Good luck, N.

Hi Nancy,
Thank you for the information! I took a look at epal site and think this is what we need for our collaboration project. I signed up for epal site but I am still trying to figure out how to use it. Is there any other simple how to site I can get help from?
I am also thinking about using classblogmeister.com for younger students. Any suggestions? Thank you!
