what month is it?

Pete's flatmate and I were staring out the window, contemplating the rain. Suddenly, he said You know, I didn't mind the weather. And then I realized it was August, not October. I don't mind the rain either, but it is weird to think that school hasn't even started yet. It certainly feels more like October than August. Although, after that heatwave here two years ago, I prefer the rain. At

manchester, married, musings

So there's going to be a wedding, umm, my wedding, in October. And after that, as I've mentioned many a time, I'm going to move to Manchester (in England...). After that, I've been strenuously not thinking about what will happen next. About Me:
I'm a 7th/8th grade teacher at a suburban public school. I'm at a high SES school, but I've gotten a reputation as a teacher who can "handle" the "problem students". I enjoy collaborating with my colleagues and really using technology to impact my students' learning.
I have an MA in education from UC Berkeley. I got my BA from Carleton College in MN. I loved both schools for very different reasons!

I've been thinking about grants. I would love to have a camera and video set up for my classroom. I wonder how I can get one.

My school and myself are both directly affected by the fires. I have linked up my blog (at unabridgedopinions.blogspot.com) with my twitter account to keep everyone updated.

Although I haven't done much with this page, I do check in here at least a few times a week, and I think it's an awesome concept. Plus, they have a "London" theme--and since my SO is English (and...in England right now) it seemed nice to put that one up.

I've been in my classroom a few times this week (we're not officially back yet), and they have yet to turn the AC on. It's be 85 or so in there the last two days (according to the temp gauge/control that I can't work because the temp is… Continue

Hi Jennie,

To get the ball rolling, contact John Beloit who is also a member of this network. You can reach him here at CR2.0 or at JohnBeloit@gmail.com. He's the one who distributes cameras. I have told him about your request and he's fine with it.

Thanks,
Bob
