With the fast pace of current Web 2.0 applications, it is all getting to be a little daunting to even try to keep up with current technologies. As an instructional technolgist in higher education, I have a vested interest in keeping up with the latest and greatest in technology. But I do find myself at times screaming inside, "Stop the Web. I bet many in this network have had that "stop the web, I want to get off" feeling. Me too. But I try to remember that the Internet, and all these web 2.0 applications are tools to help us learn and communicate effectively. Tools are the trademark of our species, whether they be stone implements for grinding corn, or Ipods for hearing this professors latest lecture on quantum theory! We certainly do live in interesting times!
