This statement says a lot. Remember your statement cannot be too broad/general. I underlined the part in quotations simply because it is a cliche. You have to be careful about putting too many ideas into one theme statement. Choose one theme idea that you wish to focus on and go with it. Also, remember- you need a handle, "The Prodigal Son reveals/ exposes/shows/ ...."
