Teacher Acceptable Information Technology Usage Policy

Next school year my district will move to have teachers sign a Use and Abuse Policy. Though our district has long had students complete a Use and Abuse Policy for accessing the network and internet; teachers have not had to sign any document. I anticipate that many teachers will be reluctant to sign on the dotted line. I would like to know what other districts across the country (and world) are doing in regards to such policies. Are faculty signed use and abuse policies prevalent or rare?

If an AUP includes training in Internet safety, and ethical use for students and teachers it's a step in the right direction! I hope this helps
