We are working to develop an RTI approach for our students with special needs and are searching for assessment tools that can be used as a screener and a progress monitoring tool for social emotional development. Does any one have any ideas/comments?

You may be interested in our assessment/treatment tools, the C-BATT® (Comprehensive Behavior Assessment & Treatment Tools). This is a multi-rater instrument that allows all persons connected to the student to provide input about his/her behavior. Our user friendliness rating hovers just under 90% and our built-in validity index is above 95%. Our instrument has been extensively used with uniformly positive results in Due Process and Mediations to quickly and effectively keep families abreast of student progress. Our results are more detailed at the granular behavior level than most behavior instruments. It can also help support the validity of other functional assessment and observation methods. Our online companion instrument, Progress Communicator (also part of the C-BATT®), allows for real-time data tracking and even provides a means for students to input information about their own behavior and work through problems via customized coping strategies. It also helps to document RtI and addresses treatment fidelity concerns. Some information is on-line at www.behaviortech.net but most customers choose to teleconference with us so we can review the program in greater detail. We have been selected as the instrument of choice by a local regional center plus our tools will be used in an upcoming study on autism. We are currently modifying our pricing model to provide better value to school districts and large scale organizations. Of course, everything is HIPAA compliant.

Let me know if you would like more details.

Regards,

Bruce
