Dear Members,

I am an instructor at Big Bend Community College, Moses Lake, WA and a great beneficiary of Classroom 2.0.

I have a great need and i am hoping that members of this community will assist.

My need is this. The alumni association of the high school that i graduated from in Nigeria is in the process of starting a campaign that is aimed at improving the learning environment at the school. Presently, due to lack of funding, the learning environment is not conducive for the students. The infrastructure is completely not in place. One area that the alumni has identified is the need for books. I want to appeal to Classroom 2.0 members to help my old high school with books (old or new). the books can be on any subject area that is high school level.

The name of the school is Federal Government College, Wukari, Nigeria. The alumni website is www.fgcwukarialumni.org. My email is zacht@bigbend.edu

Thanks.

How can we help? What can we have our students do? Can we contact the students in any way to work on a collaborative project? I teach high school in the US and can see this as a great service project for our students. Where can we send the books? Contact? Etc. We would need more information.

Thanks.

Thank you Sue for the interest and willingness to help. The alumni association in North America is gathering all items to be donated to the school centrally. Once gathered, the items will be shipped to the school. For now any book donations should be sent to me. My full address is as follows:

If you are interested in having some collaborations with the students, I can arrange that. I really look forward to working with you in that regard.

Thanks,

Zach
