When it comes to classroom behavioral strategies, there are many articles, websites, and resources on the internet with recommendations and tips. Depending on the age group of the students, their backgrounds, subjects being taught in the class and so many other factors, there are tons of material that offer help for different teachers who are either starting out in their teaching career or experienced teachers who are simply looking for a new trick.

Some of the suggested tricks include handshakes with the students, maintaining a neutral and calm tone of voice, hand signals and nonverbal communication such as clapping, verbal reprimands and many more.

Respect is the key.

Be patient, positive and friendly - students will reflect your behavior.

Split lesson.

Students concentrate better when they do miscellaneous activities:

  • listen
  • discuss
  • watch the videos
  • work in groups
  • make a speech / presentation
  • take notes and so on.

Follow EdTech trends.

Learning Management System helps to manage the classroom and develop the variety of skills, for instance:

Moodle is a learning platform with a great number of plugins.

Plagiarism checker - to check student essays and provide online feedback. This one gives the opportunity to compare Doc vs Doc and prevent cheating in class. Plagiarism detectors motivate students to express their own thoughts in writing and help to save time.

Socrative is a powerful student respond system.

So, this is my perfect teaching and classroom management formula :-)
