Hi, I am a middle school Latin teacher. I am working on putting the final touches on a class project. The students are composing simple Latin sentences to show understanding of the Latin grammar. At the end of the quarter, I am going to have them create a Newsletter Style project, reporting in Latin what they are learning in other classes, etc. I have been exploring different options for publishing this newsletter. What are the differences between NING and WikiSpaces? And, which medium would you recommend?

Hi, Elise!

They really are different kinds of tools, and in this case, I think you're going to be happier with Wikispaces--because as a wiki it is really built around the ability to create, modify, and collaborate on text.
just wondered where you teach because I love the Latin experience you are bringing to your students!!
Hey, Elise. I hope you are doing well. I am excited to see what you are doing with the Latin program. Here is a link that gives some information on NING.

For collaborative writing, you can't beat a wiki. If it's the conversation you're seeking to promote, go with a ning.
