It's been a while since I read The Global Achievement Gap because I thought it was assigned for the first or second week of class, but that got changed. I do remember finding it interesting and agreeable. I read the Hybridization article last night, however. As I was reading it I had the desire to check out many of the sites cited and doodle around with them. However, I don't have the time to just mess around with non-essentials this semester. I'm so busy! I think it is an article I might refer back to as I compile my own Project Tomorrow assignment, because just as kids are into remixing, I think I could be too if I had more time on my hands. Grad school kind of zaps the outside creativity opportunities, as all of my energy is focused on my assignments and work. The more i think about doing the Project Tomorrow assignment the more I think of doing it in remix or just mix ways using the collage websites we've been introduced to. I can remember being a kid and messing around in my room, drawing things, playing with my toys, looking through my books and I can certainly see how kids of today use these technological tools as outlests for fun and creativity, as I certainly would if I were a kid (or not, but just had more time!)
