Recently, my Technology students with the use of Claymation, teamed up with the English and Language Arts students and animated Romeo and Juliet. It was a tremendous success. In all, there were over a dozen scenes with different facets of how the students interpreted the classic drama. Once the ELA students develop their scenes, with the use of construction paper and clay, the Technology students took pictures with the use of digital camaras. Once the pictures were taken, they were uploaded onto a desktop and formatted into presentations with the use of MS Ppt. The end result was the animation of the classic story of Romeo and Juliet.
I do claymation with my sixth graders and we are in the midst of editing right now and working on voice overs.
Will you share your movie with us online?
This is a claymation resource that I created for a summer camp I ran last year and will run again this year for middle school students:
