The causes of the French revolution are so,complicated that a debt still place regarding this but it has generally being excepted that the route causes of the great revolution lay in the ancient rigime that is the old order.

1.Social structure -; French society had been divided in to three estates and order for long.This system was based on custom and traditions but more important . It was also based on social inequality which were by the course of law.These estates are as the following.

A.The clergy-;The clergy was the part of society.It was a preveledge estate the French catholic church maintained a wide scope of power. It was vertually a estates with in a estates with in a estates.The clergy was divided into lower and upper clergy.Members of the lower clergy where usually poor village priest.

B. The Nobility -; the nobility was the part of it,they held the highest portion in the church,the army,the government etc.They were vertually from paying taxes of pay in only kind.They collected rent from the peasent population. They also collected the extra and amount to custmery  dues to form the peasently. There were labour dues as  well as hire from salt,close,brave.

C.The third estates was composed of the pleasentry and the urban artigence.

              As a class the hand wage but was nothing without 

status.They tried to improve their status by purchase land but dispite their efferts.They were by the aristocracy who wanted to maintain every were their place.

                               Thus ,the french  socity was based on a structure full of in equalities. The third estate was the victim of struture.They naturally try to get rid of this structure where as the previllage estates wanted it status quo.This clash of interest naturally erupted into revolution.
