Ten things you should do before the Global Education Conference

With just a week to go before possibly the biggest and most ambitious conference in the world - the Global Education Conference 2010, it is time to get organised. Here are 10 things that you should do!

  1. Choose the sessions that you would like to attend at the online schedule to find out, where possible, the sessions and times, for your time zones. (Please double check the clock on this page as daylight saving etc can chaos with accuracy.)
  2. Download the conference guide
  3. Follow the #globaled10 hashtag on twitter
  4. ask to be helped by another educator doing global connecting projects at the Global Education Mentor program
  5. visit the Global Education Wiki
  6. Join the conference group in the Global Education Collaborative to discuss the conference with others.
  7. join the Flickr group
  8. make sure you can use elluminate - run this self test.
  9. Spread the word and let others know - blog about the conference, tweet it out etc
  10. Consider being a volunteer moderator for some of the many sessions.
