Checked out your classes blog with delight! Don't worry, of course they are getting to be better writers and more importantly, better citizens/people thanks to your own promotion of the "NEW" . So important that kids not only get content but also venture into the new and see possibility. Think you are doing a great job, as well as showing them the world.
