I've taught 7th and now 6th grade for a total of 12 years in Cary, North Carolina. Ironically, although we're next to Research Triangle Park and many of my parents are tech people, I am one of the leaders in technology in my school. That is very sad, as I do very little. It is a matter of curriculum and testing - blogs and wikis and podcasts are tested so they are put on the back burner. Our computer classes pass the state competency test, though :-/ !

Happy New Year! I was wondering if you, your educator contacts or students would be interested in participating in a nationwide Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. We'd really like to get more students involved from NC!
You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!
