It took me a long time to figure this all out, too. It's interesting that members of classroom 2.0 are all educators just like us, who have ideas to share or questions. Basically, I think this is one great big discussion forum that is specifically geared to teachers. I've found that the quickest way to read posts by other educators about specific topics of interest is to scroll down the right side of the screen till you get to the Discussions area: select a topic: by tool, by subject or by area. From there you choose whatever your'e interested in and click on it to see if someone posted something you could use in your classroom. I also think the group called ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (found under the tab GROUPS) would be a useful one. From what I can gather, I would have to join the group in order to leave a comment.
It looks like there is sooo much available here but I think it's a great way for our teachers to find out ways to use web 2.0 tools in their classrooms - like google earth, and others. And I saw a thing on here about using Smartboards.
Let me know if you find anything that you could use with 3rd graders.
I actually joined "Library 2.0" also to find discussions that are specifically geared to librarians.
