- I am a Special Education teacher. I have taught in DC, KS for 15 years at the same school. I have 12 grandchildren, I love to read (electronically or oldfashioned), I am bilingual, I love to cook especially for the holidays! I teach at a Day Treatment school, Therapeutic Education Center (TEC), 6-12, our students come from hospitalizations due to mental health issues, Foster care, court ordered due to severe behaviors, and also from extreme behaviors exhibited at school.
