Podcasting guidance needed

I am having my students create a posters depicting topics in the Civil Rights movement. We will be hanging them in the hallway and creating a Civil Rights Poster Gallery. I would like to have my students record  themselves explaining their topics in a podcast. That way I can display the posters in the hallway, and other students would be able to listen to their classmate's explanations on their MP3 players. My challenges are these:1. I need a recommendation for a podcasting host 2. I would like…See More

Which digital camera to buy

Hello all2 things1I have been charged with finding 10 video cameras for classroom use in my school which also take still images. I need something that will record in a format that Windows Movie Maker can use. I was considering the Flip but evidently it records in .avi which i've heard is a hassle with WMM. I've also heard that getting stills out of the Flip can be a chore.I'm curious to hear about what you all are using - there are a ton out there but I'm wondering what you have found to…See More

Hi Steve,

With your work in Technology Integration, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service. Here’s a public class recording conducted by Nellie Deutsch on Technology Integration.
