Join Classroom 2.0
with your work in Ed Technology I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both technologies are web based, have a bunch of features and free basic service.
I think the staff and students in your school district might find both technologies of use.
