I am a middle school reading teacher. I am a doctoral candidate in teaching and learning. My focus is adolescent literacy and my dissertation is focused on evaluating an instructional framework. I have developed this framework that synthesizes research from several disciplines to develop stronger comprehension across the content areas. I am interested in helping create networks of research schools, along the teaching hospital model, where researchers and practitioners in education, cognitive psychology, and neuroscience can come together to improve practice.
