With your work in Education Technology, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.
Happy New Year! I was wondering if you or your students would be interested in participating in a nationwide SAT Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. If not, perhaps you have some educator contacts you could direct me to. We'd really like to get more students involved from Tennessee!
You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!
I ran across the Ensworth blog post talking about 7th grade book talks. We are doing the same thing here...plus, I was just in Nashville for the YALSA YA Lit symposium! I loved your city; I would have liked to have visited the upper school and talk to you about your 7th grade reading program. We have 7 sections of 7th grader English students. I am working with 2 sections and am planning to also post a blog of book reviews from my group...if the reviews are good enough! Have you all thought about using blogs or voice thread for any of this? If so, how and has it been successful? Thanks!
