60 Australian students wanting to Collaborate with a Chinese students and share cultures

Hi everyone, I'm currently co-ordinating 3 classes of 10-12 year old students (approximately 60 students). We would love to learn more about Chinese culture and share our own culture via an email exchanges similar to a pen pal exchange. We would also love to create video performances and share these online as well as communicating in real time via Skype or Polycom. We would be very flexible and our students would exchange emails approximately once a week. I have tried contacting numerous…See More

Internet access solution for 25 students visiting Malaysia for 3 weeks??

Hi folks, I'm working with a school who will be sending approx 25 students to Malaysia for 3 weeks. The students will be split over 3 schools. Students will have access to MacBooks that they will take over. What would be the most effective means of them gaining Internet access through their computers? I don't want to rely on the host schools providing a connection. We also have access to an Airport Extreme. Suggestions and experiences appreciated. They are staying in a small city which I cant…See More

Hi Folks,I'm after a online book library suitable for students aged 10 and up. I have been looking at Google Books which appears to be perfect if I can put a hyperlink on our school site with a personalised library shelf I have constructed myself. The only drawback is I'm not sure if 'outsiders' will be able to add comments etc to the books which appears to be a permanent feature of Google Books.Does anyone know if Google Books is suitable or can you recommend an alternative? Thanks in…See More
