About Me

I had my university education at the University of Lagos and the University of Ibadan. I was at Lagos between 1994 and 1998 where I got an upper second class honours degree in French. My research project was in Colonial African Literature of French expression (Le thème de l’assimilation dans Le Vieux Nègre et La Médaille de Ferdinand Oyono). Thereafter I was at Ibadan for my graduate studies between 2000 and 2002. I did a master’s programme in European Studies with an in- depth research on the novel as a literary genre (Le conflit entre le modernisme et la tradition dans deux œuvres romanesques de Jean Pliya:Les Tresseures de corde et L’arbre fétiche).

I also trained at the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations where I got a chartered professional Diploma in Public Relations. In addition I have undergone various training programs both in Leadership and Computer Studies as well as scores of seminars and conferences.

I have published two works: The Housekeyper and French with Ease. The later is used as a study material in several public schools in Lagos and Edo States. I have a pile of unpublished manuscripts both in French & English at my disposal. Now I am working with two publishers, one in the UK and the other in Canada. The UK publisher is looking at my first full-length novel (Crossroads), while the Canadians are looking at my anthology of short stories (Broomstick).

I have over twelve years working experience in the school system. I teach both French and English Literatures. I also teach communication skills at degree foundation level. I have held both administrative and academic positions at various places: I was Head of Studies at Hillcroft Schools, Lagos for four years; Head of Studies Hallfield Academy for two years; French teacher Victory Grammar School, Ikeja for two years; Boarding Supervisor/ Housemaster & HOD French CTC International School, Ikeja, Houseparent/HOD Modern Languages, Greensprings School Lekki Lagos. I was also a Public Relations consultant to the Accreditation Committee of Nigeria’99 FIFA World Youth Championship. Presently, I am with Corona Secondary School, Agbara as Pastoral Officer/ French Teacher. In addition, I am Deputy Head, Clubs and Associations. I equally coordinate all Excursions and Field Trips both Local and International at Corona Secondary School, Agbara.
