The power of Diigo

Recently in one of my classes, we were instructed to use the toolbar from Diigo to bookmark several pages related to the topics of technology or education.  If it hadn't been for the assignment, I probably wouldn't have bothered to ever use the Diigo tool, but as I went through bookmarking the sites I realized that it could definitely be useful to me in the future. For those that don't know, Diigo is a website where you can sign up and create your own library of bookmarked web pages.  You can…See More

Technology Pros/Cons

I think that integrating new technology into the classroom is overall a wonderful thing.  But what about the aspect of distractions?  Sometimes I wonder if classrooms of the future will furnish a computer or tablet for each student to use.  But, being a college student, I know that it is a struggle for me to stay on-task and not wander off onto social networking sites or other distractions.  Is there a way that technologies like these can be integrated without these distractions?See More
