About Me
I teach Biology. Mostly 10th graders but I also have a class of seniors in a Forensic Science elective class. This year I have the opportunity to teach a very small AP Biology group. What a treat!! I am a tech fanatic and working on a Master's degree in Library and Information Science.

Hey Erika,

Our Brainyflix video contest just ended, and I wanted to thank you for helping us get the word out. We got 800 submissions from across the country. And from what I've heard, students had a good time and learned some tough vocab. Some kids even discovered a passion for hamming it up in front of the camera and started video clubs.

That said, MIT was really happy with the results and will let us run another contest, so we're going for it! But this time, we're gonna have kids create Brainypics flashcards - which are images and sentences paired up with a one of our SAT/ACT words. The contest ends May 22nd, and there'll be iTunes and a cash prize like last time. To boot, we'll double the payout if the kids can hit a certain goal. More details at brainyflix.com/main/contest_rules.

If you know any colleagues or students who might be interested, can you please let them know? It's not as involved as the Brainyflix video contest and could be a fun way for them to pick up some vocab and earn some iTunes at the very least.

Thanks,
Jack
