Netbooks in the Elementary Classroom?

Our K-8 school has moved out of the computer lab with a goal of providing 1 to 1 laptops when needed for technology integration in all the classrooms.  We have used full sized laptops on a smaller scale in the past for upper elementary and middle school classes.  We plan to try netbooks for K-2 and also try them with upper grades to see if they will meet most classroom needs.  I have not been able to find any articles on student/teacher classroom experience with netbooks, positive or negative,…See More

I am the Computer Technology Educator for a small (270) public K-8 school. I fill the roles of Tech Director, Comp Teacher, Integration Specialist, and technical support person for teachers and administrators. I love being outdoors and plan to find ways for computer use to connect people with the outdoors.
