Dennis Pack replied to Desmond A. Hasty's discussion 'Computerized Chemistry Lab' in the group Connecting Content and Technology
HI desmond, I haven't found a complete online Chemistry lab, but I did find a couple sites that are very handy. And, they are either free or not very expensive. The Molecular Workbench has many good simulations for all areas of science. I…

Dennis Pack replied to Catherine Laguna's discussion 'Making Inferences and Critical Thinking' in the group Middle School Science
Hi Catherine, Sounds like you are making good progress with your class. Don't see anything wrong with dropping the letter when they are being productive with what they are doing. Sometimes think we focus too much on quantity instead of…

Dennis Pack replied to John Garrett's discussion 'Attracting staff to PD' in the group Professional Development

About Me
I am a retired teacher with 31 years of teaching experience. Having taught Science/Computing/Geography/Outdoor Education/Math in Oregon (USA) (7 yrs), Paraguay (.5 yrs) and South Australia (23.5 yrs), I have a wealth of unique experiences that I would like to use to help improve STEM teaching around the world.

To help realize this dream, I have partnered with 2 other teachers, with similar experiences, to form JDM Science Education Consultants.

We believe the improvement of STEM education needs to start early in a child's life, hence, we are focusing our efforts in elementary schools. But, we are willing (and able!) to help at all levels from K-18 and beyond.
