About Me
I spent last year traveling with my laptop visiting family and friends in Boston, Chicago and Washington D.C. WHY? I needed a break and was enrolled in a Distance Education Certificate Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for the entire year. Two of our assigned readings were "Minds on Fire" , and the Horizon Report. Great food for thought about "so now what do we do?' I love reading books and I had time to learn that the world is flat and that this is for sure not a test!!! To learn about how students are adapting to the online world in education was also a goal of mine during my year of reflection. Last October I attended the Virtual School Symposium-NACOL and met so many great people who care about the children in this country. Yes, I joined NACOL and now I want to be part of this Classroom 2.0. I want to share and learn to help others collaborate......

Sorry that we have both been so busy to talk. :) We are still teaching/in meetings at work until June 15th and the schedule has been CRAZY. I think I gave you my number. Feel free to call anytime!!

Are you going to NECC? I am hoping it will work out but am still looking into it to see if I can make it. I so want to go and learn there. Unfortunately, Friday is best for me, but not for you. :) I can always talk on the phone or chat in skype or google chat tomorrow. Are you on twitter? Just joined last week. dobrien917
