Hi Deb --

It's great to so many Canucks in here in CR 2.0. You might want to join a group called "Canadians Mashup". If you join, please use the Welcome forum at http://www.classroom20.com/group/canadianmashup/forum/topics/welcome-to-canadian-mashup to introduce yourself.

Hi Deb, we have done quite a few things, and are still adding more. We set up a Writing Center, with student tutors, to assist students with all the various aspects of writing. The center includes a Smart teaching room, with a projector, computer, access to the internet, etc, as well as a bank of computers where the students can do online research and/or check and respond to their assignments. Also we have some tutorials available for them. Many instructors are using Moodle (and I train/ support the instructors to do so) to supplement their classes, with reading and writting assignments, discussion forums, videos, learning objects (such as from merlot.org), etc. So far this semester we have 28 English classes uusing this resource (some allow guests, go to moodle.elac.edu if you want to check out). So far we are only teaching one course on line, but have plans to do more. In addition, we are planning to set-up a Reading Lab
