- I'm a children's author and certificated librarian, classroom and music teacher. I founded and co-directed an arts-based school and I teach continuing education courses. I'm a frequent presenter and performer at schools, libraries, and conferences. My husband is singer/songwriter Karl Olsen of The Brothers Four. We live on Whidbey Island with our three children.
